Happy Spring! Sight Savers Day Shack the Can is back! Sight Saver Day is an initiative to

raise awareness about visual impairment and support organizations dedicated to providing

essential eye care services. For more information, please go to clerf.org.

I am happy to announce that our CLERF donations are up compared to the same time last

year. We have a long way to meet our goals. We need to reach out to our clubs before the

Lions’ year end to ask for their support. I have reached out to our CLERF Chairs.

In our recent meeting, Ms Becky Harris and Dr. Onkar Sawant from Eversight visited us. Dr

Sawant discussed advances in Limbal Stem Cell Deficiency (LSCD) research.

LSCD can cause significant cornea vascularization and scarring and often results

in serious visual conditions. Ms. Harris and Dr. Sawant thanked CLERF for their support

and they also mentioned about the Grant that they received from CLERF in social media.

PCC Frank Rowe reported that the Google platform is set up for CLERF. The website is
